On May 29, 2013, Trevor Gingrich, AIHL President, and Patrick Sutherland, AIHL League Manager, presented Mark Kosak, Regional Manager of KidSport Calgary with a $1,000 donation.

KidSport strives to support ensuring children, who come from families who are financially challenged from registering and equipping their children in sport, play in community sport.  The benefit from social development, canadian culture, and just to have fun is critical to the community in which we have grown up in.

'We are extremely pleased to offer this contribution to such a great Association to make sure all children can play in community sports' claims Trevor Gingrich, AIHL President.

'I grew up in Calgary my whole life and played in sports since I was 8 years old. I have been good friends with many that have received this kind of support and it makes a huge difference in the lives of those kids and their families!' states Patrick Sutherland, AIHL League Manager.

The AIHL (Alberta Insurance Hockey League), is a 22 year old non-profit organization operating a 16 team morning hockey league through the Flames Community Arenas in SW Calgary.  Patrick Sutherland reflects, 'Many of the players in this league have children and deeply understand the need for an association like KidSport in the community and we will continue to contribute to KidSport in the near future'.
